PI Class System
Forza's PI (Performance Index) is a 100-999 composite performance score, divided into 7 tiers:
| Class | PI Range | Typical Cars |
|---|---|---|
| D | 100-500 | Stock AE86, Honda Beat |
| C | 501-600 | VW Golf GTI |
| B | 601-700 | Subaru WRX STI stock |
| A | 701-800 | NSX, tuned GT-R |
| S1 | 801-900 | Lamborghini Huracán |
| S2 | 901-998 | Bugatti Veyron, McLaren Senna |
| X | 999 | Koenigsegg Jesko, Hoonicorn |
Events match AI to the specified PI class. Bringing an X-class car to a D-class event will trigger throttle limiters — you can't bully the field with raw class.
Upgrade Priority
Beginners often spend PI points wrongly. The upgrade order to remember:
- Tires — most important. Tire compound and width determine grip. R / Race compound is top tier.
- Wheels — lighter wheels reduce mass; high PI return.
- Brakes — uprated rotors prevent fade under heavy braking.
- Suspension — race suspension unlocks the full tuning menu.
- Engine / Transmission — turbo, ECU, long gearing as needed.
- Aerodynamics — front splitter + rear wing for downforce. FH6 introduces "Forza Aero" allowing independent front/rear adjustment.
Tuning Menu Fields
Tire Pressure
Adjusted front and rear separately. Default 30-32 PSI. Lower pressure = more grip (drift sets 28); higher pressure = less rolling resistance (drag sets 36).
Gearing
Longer Final Drive = higher top speed, slower acceleration. Beginners just spread the RPM line evenly across gears.
Springs
Stiffer springs = sharper turn-in, harsher ride. Front stiffer than rear → reduces understeer; rear stiffer than front → easy oversteer (drift setup).
Damping
Rebound + Bump. Higher values mean slower recovery. Beginners leave at default.
Anti-roll Bars (ARBs)
Reduce body roll in corners. Front ARB stiff → understeer; rear ARB stiff → oversteer (drift).
Camber
Negative = wheel top tilted inward. Better cornering grip but tire wear on straights. Track: -1.5 to -2.5 degrees; Drift: -2 to -3 degrees.
Toe
Front toe-in = straight-line stability; rear toe-in = corner stability. Drift cars use rear toe-out.
Differential
Acceleration lock + Deceleration lock. Drift cars run 80-100% acceleration lock.
