Day 1 (2 hours)

Goal: Complete opening tutorial, buy first house, claim free cars.

  • Follow the main line (Shibuya rainy night drive → festival site) — do not skip the tutorial
  • Pick a starter car (we recommend the GR Yaris for beginners — easier handling)
  • Complete the first 3 Showcase Races for 500,000 credits
  • Buy your first Tokyo suburb residence (~500K credits, includes a free wheelspin)
  • Claim the Game Pass welcome bundle (5-10 free cars)

Day 2 (1.5 hours)

Goal: Start unlocking the map, earn road points, climb to C class.

  • Run 5 Drift Zones (use the AE86 — three-star each in ~5 minutes)
  • Run 3 Speed Traps (any A-class car works)
  • Drive the entire Tokyo metro road network for road points
  • Unlock the first touge spot (Mt. Haruna)

Day 3 (2 hours)

Goal: Unlock Initial D Horizon Stories chapters 1-3.

  • Push the main line past the 5-hour threshold to auto-unlock Initial D crossover
  • Complete Chapter 1 "Tofu Delivery" (Takumi's morning AE86 runs)
  • Complete Chapter 2 "First Touge"
  • Chapter 3 unlocks the RX-7 livery car
  • Get used to the Eurobeat radio rhythm

Day 4-5 (1.5 hours each day)

Goal: Hit 80% on first Festival Playlist, climb to A class.

  • Complete 80% of this week's Festival Playlist (35 challenges)
  • Unlock the first reward car + a Forza Edition car
  • Reach A-class wristband (500 fans)
  • First Touge Showdown 1v1 (use the AE86 Touge Edition)
  • Explore the Alpine region (snow tire practice)

Day 6-7 (2 hours each day)

Goal: Unlock S1 / S2 class, challenge Legend NPCs.

  • Complete Initial D chapters 5-8 (unlocks Silvia K's and 22B Impreza)
  • Challenge your first Horizon Legend NPC ("White Phantom")
  • Buy your first S1-class hypercar (Lamborghini Huracán or the GR GT Prototype)
  • Try The Eliminator (72-player Battle Royale)
  • Form a Convoy with friends online

Week 2 Outlook

After the first week most players reach S1 class, complete 80% of Initial D chapters, and accumulate 5 million credits. For week 2 we recommend:

  • Study the tuning / PI guide and tune your first car
  • Try EventLab / CoLab to build your first custom event
  • Challenge the drift zone leaderboards
  • Start Spec Racing same-car championships
